I love sashiko stitching as its so quick, easy and addictive to make.
Suitable for all ages, everyone can have fun making a hana-fukin sashiko sampler cloth which have been stencilled using both traditional and contemporary designs for both children and adults.
Following the lines of the printed design, stitches of sashiko thread define the image. The cloth is then washed to reveal the design clear of the stencilled lines.
The extensive range of single-coloured and variegated sashiko threads available enables you to create many unique colour and design variations which can be used as napkins and placemats or to create cushions, bags, quilts and garments or simply used to wrap a special gift.
Please note: These samplers are only available with Japanese instructions however these are very detailed, clear and easy to follow. Panels are approx. 34 cm square and 100% cotton.
