Join us on a fabulous Japanese themed craft retreat - not in Japan but in our hometown of Ballarat - a UNESCO Creative City of Craft & Folk Art!
Having run a number of craft tours to Japan since 2017, it was incredibly disappointing to have to pull the plug on the two fully booked tours in 2020. Whilst we haven’t given up hope on running tours again in the future, we’ve decided in the meantime that we can still have fun, with a little Japanese themed getaway. Spread over 3 days and 2 nights everything from accommodation to all meals and 3 different workshops are included.
This retreat is ideal for those who love getting crafty and making things and those who may be interested in travelling on a craft tour of Japan with us in the future. Come by yourself or with a friend or loved one and be prepared to learn some new skills and have a great few days. The workshops are open to all skill levels. Be prepared to go home with some great crafty projects, new friends, and a love of all things Japanese!
Sunday - Travel to Ballarat & learn the craft of Japanese book binding with Michelle from the Paperazzi Design Studio
Monday – Get stitching with a modern approach to sashiko in a Zaku Zaku Bag making workshop with Morgan Wills & then get your shopping shoes on with a private visit to The Crafty Squirrel and a spot of fabric & vintage shopping too.
